A design brief for the project is not only imperative in understanding the environment in which the carpet will ultimately be installed, but it is also important in streamlining the details of how to successfully achieve your design requirements.
Simply share your custom design concept digitally, along with inspirational imagery, that you would like to incorporate into your interior environment. Or, choose options from our current collections that you would like to recolour - or make slight modifications to - that would suit your corporate branding or project colour scheme.
Now that you have collaborated with our design team on your concept, a series of design proposals will be developed with emphasis on your requirements.
These will include colours, project specifications and patterns - ensuring all are to scale, tonal and textured, and of high-quality for a seamless floor plate.
Our innovative visualisation tools such as room scenes, seaming diagrams and floor layouts will be provided, displaying rendered design concepts of the product in insitu presented within a chosen environment.
The refining process will enable you to finalise the design concept with any final tweaks.
Once approved, Milliken will produce a sample tile or multi-tiles (where applicable) to showcase the final tactile product.
The team will ensure that the product meets all the requirements before any sampling is completed and delivered to you. With open communication, this is an opportunity to review the product aesthetics and to offer any additional feedback. The sample tile(s) along with the visualisation tools will be updated for project finalisation.
Your bespoke design is now ready for production. Our focus is delivering quality designed carpet tiles with quick delivery times.
Leveraging on the speed and flexibility of our Millitron innovative technology enables complex pattern/texture effects and colour combinations to be produced. This is currently not possible with any other carpet manufacturing technology.
The design team along with your dedicated sales representative will continuously work with you until project completion and beyond, always with open communication and transparency to ensure your expectations have been met.

Collaborating with Warren and Mahoney and Cato, a main carpet tile design was developed which connected to the overall building floor layout. This design, spanning across 14,000m2 across the airport, helped to seamlessly incorporate different perspectives and interpretations of Wellington City through the eyes of renowned local artists Sam Broad, Timon Maxey, Rachel Gannaway and Catherine Griffiths.

In collaboration with Coffs Harbour City Council, Lipman Pty Ltd and local interior design studio, Two Birds Design, the C.ex Coffs International Stadium design vision was to create a connection with the land and surrounding environment, utilising natural products and tones that were multi-generational and timeless.

The carpet was not only the starting point but the focal point of the project - a representation of the local history and story of traditional Aboriginal owners to represent the country and community. Water Yuludarla, designed by Gumbaynggirr artist Brentyn Lugnan, was specified and installed throughout the two new grandstands (North & South), existing Central grandstand and a newly built hub building to create a sensory space and mimic the landscape overlooking each section of the stadium.

Pomegranate Restaurant, located in the heart of Canberra in ACT, brings the vision of contemporary Mediterranean cuisine with flavours of Turkey in a classic dining experience. The restaurants' logo of a pomegranate was intricately assimilated into the design of the carpet with a modern twist, creating a boldness of scale and patterning and a colour palette of greys and earthy reds, bringing in the influences of cultural heritage. The carpet design was highly contrasted and perfectly complemented the highly textured fixtures and fittings of the newly refurbished environment.

Our in-house design team will work closely on your product plan to help visualise your carpet design insitu and provide you with cost effective tools, low minimums and short lead times for your project specifications.
This will include high resolution room scenes, rendered floor plans and seaming diagrams to achieve a better understanding of product information, size, installation methods required to finalise and order your bespoke carpet design, etc.

Enhancing the customer experience, we provide completed high-quality 3D room scenes with our clients' custom carpet design and visually display these in a variety of desired interior settings.
Clients choice of high-resolution room-scene(s) is recommended for a realistic setting; however, we have access to global libraries in varying room types and styles to deliver the completed room scene with product installed.
An A3 high-resolution print document will be provided with project name, product details, installation method(s) and market segment for the required project.
RENDERED FLOOR PLANS
Our detailed 2D rendered floor plans allow custom or recoloured designs to be viewed in retrospect before a purchase decision is made.

Where a project has existing architectural floor plans, our TSR team can upload this onto our system; otherwise, we generate floor plans based on similar segment spaces for comparison for insitu images.
The benefit of rendered floor plans is that we can apply the carpet design to display and ensure complete accuracy on the final installation, visually portraying product in specific size, zoning areas, pattern match and quality. Plus, we can apply efficient costings on these areas.

SEAMING DIAGRAMS
Seaming diagrams complement rendered floor plans and are supplied in a detailed 2D carpet layout.
SEAMING DIAGRAMS
While floor plans provide an overview of how the carpet design will look from a bird's eye perspective with colours and patterning, seaming diagrams go one step further in providing exact placement of carpet tiles on the floor plate and an estimation of product.
Labelled and colour coded areas indicate each carpet tile depicted on the diagrams with directional arrows indicating carpet installation for aid purpose.
