This seminar provides design considerations when specifying floor coverings for neuro-inclusive work environments. The presentation starts by explaining what neurodiversity means and the challenges and opportunities neurodivergent employees present for the workplace. It goes on to review the legislation relating to neuro-inclusive design and key sensitivities that architects and designers need to be aware of when designing and specifying floor coverings for a neurodivergent workforce. With example installations, the seminar illustrates how floor coverings can best support the design of neuro-inclusive workspaces.

This CPD reviews the criteria required for achieving the International Well Building Institute’s WELL Building Standard and presents Milliken’s journey to achieving Platinum Certification for its London Showroom space. This CPD includes three distinct learning sections:
• An overview of the WELL Building Standard’s requirements and processes for achieving Certification
• A review of the challenges and actions that the Milliken team faced in aiming to achieve the highest level of the standard
• A tour of the Showroom highlighting all the elements of the space that needed to be addressed in order to achieve Platinum Certification.
